    This Privacy Policy strictly details the collection, handling, storage, and sharing of data by the T&C Risk Analyzer Chrome Extension. We are committed to complete data minimization. We do not track your browsing history.
  

1. User Data Collection

T&C Risk Analyzer operates on a strict "data minimization" principle. We collect data solely when explicitly initiated by you.

What we collect: When you click "Analyze Page" or use the right-click "Translate Legal Jargon" tool, we temporarily collect the text content and the URL of that specific webpage. If you upgrade to PRO, we collect your inputted License Key to verify your status.
What we DO NOT collect: We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII), names, email addresses, IP addresses, background browsing history, or cookies.

2. User Data Handling

All data is handled with strict security protocols to ensure user privacy during processing.

Transmission: The collected text, URL, and license key are transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS to our backend server.
Operational Routing: The extension occasionally fetches a basic routing configuration file from GitHub to ensure server uptime. This request contains zero user data.
Ephemeral Processing: Webpage text is handled in temporary memory strictly for the duration required to process it through our AI models.

3. User Data Storage

We utilize both local and anonymous remote storage to provide functionality while protecting your privacy.

Local Device Storage: Your application settings, usage limits, license key, and a history of your last 5 scanned websites are saved locally on your device. This local data is never stored on our servers.
Zero Personal Server Storage: Our backend servers do not store user profiles, session tokens, or logs tying specific users to the websites they scan.
Anonymous Server Caching: To improve speed, our database stores anonymous analytical outputs (e.g., a generic risk summary for a URL). No user identifiers are ever attached to this cached data.

4. User Data Sharing

T&C Risk Analyzer does not sell, rent, or trade user data to third parties under any circumstances. Data sharing is limited exclusively to essential sub-processors required for functionality.

Third-Party Processors: The specific webpage text you select for analysis is shared securely via API with our AI provider (OpenAI). This data is explicitly excluded from being used to train their AI models. If applicable, your License Key is verified via our secure payment processor.
